On the other hand, if there are a bunch of small files to access, then the Internal HDD would win, because it would be able to access them faster, and since they are so small, they would take the same amount of time to read on each drive. For instance, accessing 1GB+ files, it would be better than the internal HDD, because once it accesses the file, then it'd be down to speed, so though the Internal HDD would access the file faster, it's so large, that the External HDD would catch up, and in most cases probably surpass the Internal HDD that is reading it at a slower speed. So, for larger files, it would still be good. For instance, USB 3.0 has a max transfer rate of 625MB/s, but this doesn't relate to access speed.
Doesn't have as much to do with the bandwidth. It's the time it takes to access the file. Most of the things people bitch about just need to be seen in person and then users can decided for themselves if it's something they like or want to support. I'm also interested to see what MS has in store. That'd be a great feature to have in the PS4. I think PlayStation users should be more excited about the rumor of PS1/PS2 local emulation. The local gameplay is just so much better. Still, it's not a bad service by any means, but I don't think I'd go out of the way to pay for something like PS Now instead of just using a PS3. It's really just the latency of the internet and tech companies finding the right work around to make it more viable. Personally, I used Remote Play/PS Now streaming and found the latency and other aspects to not be there yet. Everyone should just find out for themselves. It doesn't matter what people say really.
